This policy covers Laddr.io at https://laddr.io/new (the “site”). It explains how we handle information about people who visit it.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message, and keep it as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the address you submit in order to send it, and every issue carries an unsubscribe link.

Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers record standard technical data when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time. This is used to keep the site available, diagnose faults and understand which guides are read.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We and our partners use them to remember preferences, measure traffic and deliver advertising. Our cookie policy sets out the categories in detail and how to control them.
Advertising
This site is free to read because it carries advertising. We use Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-6494987875503497) to serve ads.

Who else receives information
We do not sell personal information. Information reaches third parties only through the services that make the site work: our hosting provider, which processes requests on our behalf; advertising partners as described above; and anyone we are legally required to disclose to.

Our guides link to the official sites of the services we write about. We do not control those sites, and this policy does not apply once you leave ours. Read the privacy policy of any site before entering your details.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how it is used, withdraw consent, and — under laws such as the GDPR in the EU and UK, and the CCPA/CPRA in California — opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
To exercise any of these, email contact@laddr.io. We may need to ask a question to confirm the request comes from you, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we hold, and keep it only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where information is transferred internationally, we rely on our providers’ safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
